A hybrid of Taiwan's native wild mountain tea and Assam from Burma. Grown near the famous Sun-Moon Lake in Nantou, Taiwan, Ruby Black is one of the most well-known black teas in Taiwan. It's lighter in body and not as malty as it's cousin Fomosa Assam but sweeter, more delicate and smooth. Suitable to enjoy with dessert or after an evening meal. Makes a great morning tea - with or without milk. This is a classic Chinese black tea with a bit of earthiness.
